Senator Blunt Highlights Pemiscot County Visit, Completes Second Tour Of All Missouri Counties

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Roy Blunt (Mo.) recently announced he has successfully completed his second tour of the state since being sworn into the U.S. Senate, visiting each of Missouri’s 114 counties and the City of St. Louis. Along his tour, Blunt visited Pemiscot County, where he met with area leaders and farmers and attended the Delta Center Field Day Dinner at Bean Farms on September 2, 2014.

Blunt has made more than 1,000 stops meeting with Missourians in communities all over the state since joining the Senate. In April 2012, Blunt completed his first tour of every Missouri county. Click here for more information on Blunt’s county tour.

“In the Bootheel and across Missouri, I continue to hear about the impact of executive overreach and over-regulation on farmers, ranchers, small business owners, and private property owners,” said Blunt. “I’m working with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to block the Environmental Protection Agency’s burdensome water rules, and I’ll keep fighting to protect Missourians from the Obama Administration’s blatant overreach into their private lives and property.”

Blunt has long been a vocal opponent of burdensome Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations, and recently co-sponsored a bipartisan bill to block the EPA’s takeover of private and state waters.
