Senator Blunt Highlights Oregon County Visit, Completes Second Tour Of All Missouri Counties

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Roy Blunt (Mo.) recently announced he has successfully completed his second tour of the state since being sworn into the U.S. Senate, visiting each of Missouri’s 114 counties and the City of St. Louis. Along his tour, Blunt visited Oregon County, where he met with local leaders, law enforcement, and school personnel and discussed Secure Rural Schools funding at Alton High School on April 7, 2015.

Blunt has made more than 1,000 stops meeting with Missourians in communities all over the state since joining the Senate. In April 2012, Blunt completed his first tour of every Missouri county. Click here for more information on Blunt’s county tour.

“As I’ve traveled across the state, I’ve learned a great deal from Missourians about how to create more opportunity for our students and future generations,” Blunt said. “It was great to visit with local leaders and teachers at Alton High School and discuss ways in which local, state, and federal government can work together to benefit students.”
