WASHINGTON – Last week, U.S. Senator Roy Blunt (Mo.) visited Lakeside Casting Solutions in Monroe City, Mo. Blunt toured the facility and met with Lakeside Casting Solutions President Chuck Mudd to discuss the challenges facing small businesses.
“It was great to be back in Monroe City to tour Lakeside Casting Solutions and meet with the company’s employees,” said Blunt. “From rising inflation to labor shortages to an outdated transportation system, there are many challenges facing small businesses across our nation as they work hard to rebuild from the pandemic. I will continue advocating for programs and policies that will strengthen our state and nation’s infrastructure and get our economy back on track.”
also discussed the importance of expanding rural broadband. As a member of both
the Senate Commerce and Appropriations Committees, Blunt has helped lead
efforts to end the digital divide that has left nearly one-third of rural
Missourians without access to broadband services.
