Year-round Pell Grants will be available to eligible college students beginning July 1st.
The federal subsidies are part of the 2017 government funding bill approved by Congress.
Senator Roy Blunt of Missouri was instrumental in restoring the grants as Chairman of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies.
Senator Blunt , a former history teacher and president of Southwest Baptist University, says the year-round Pell Grants will help one million students stay on track for graduation, enter or re-enter the workforce sooner and graduate with less debt.
