U.S. Senator Roy Blunt
(Mo.) delivers remarks at General Motors’ Wentzville facility.
WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Senator Roy Blunt (Mo.) released the
following statement after attending General Motors’ (GM) event where the
company announced it will invest $1.5 billion in its Wentzville facility:
“This historic investment is great news for the
region and our state. I appreciate GM for making a long-term commitment to the
Wentzville facility, which is home to thousands of hardworking employees. This
is another milestone in Governor Parson’s efforts to make Missouri an even
better place to start or grow a business. I’ll continue advocating for policies
that will help our state lead the way in an increasingly global economy.”
The
investment will retain nearly 4,000 jobs at the Wentzville facility, which will
manufacture the next generation of midsize pickup trucks.
