WASHINGTON, D.C. – In light of the Obama Administration’s recent announcement that it will delay the ObamaCare employer mandate until 2015, U.S. Senator Roy Blunt (Mo.) co-sponsored two amendments today that would delay the individual and employer mandates. The amendments were introduced by U.S. Senator Jerry Moran (Kan.) to the FY2014 Labor-HHS-Ed appropriations bill.
“Picking and choosing which aspects of this flawed law to postpone is like riding a bike with one wheel – it simply does not work,” said Blunt. “I’ll continue to support efforts to repeal and defund ObamaCare so that we can prevent this deeply flawed law from enacting further economic harm to individuals, families, job creators, and all Americans.”
Blunt joined his colleagues for a press conference and signed a letter yesterday calling on President Barack Obama to enact a permanent delay of ObamaCare for all Americans. Blunt also spoke on the Senate floor this week about this critical issue, and invited Missourians to share their questions about the burdensome law on Facebook and Twitter.
