Senator Blunt Co-Sponsors Bill To Defund ObamaCare

July 11, 2013

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Roy Blunt (Mo.) co-sponsored the “ObamaCare Repeal Act” today, which was introduced by U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (Texas) to defund President Barack Obama’s flawed health care law. Click here to view the bill.

“The Obama Administration’s recent announcement that it will delay key components of ObamaCare is a determined effort to get further down the wrong road before people know what’s happened to their insurance, doctors, and health coverage,” said Blunt. “This law is fundamentally flawed, which is why I’ve repeatedly voted to repeal and defund ObamaCare.”

This week, Blunt joined the Senate Republican Conference in sending a letter to President Barack Obama and participated in a press conference urging him to permanently delay the implementation of ObamaCare for all Americans, in addition to speaking on the Senate floor about this critical issue.

The ObamaCare Repeal Act is also co-sponsored by U.S. Senators John Barrasso (Wyo.), Richard Burr (N.C.), Dean Heller (Nev.), Jim Inhofe (Okla.), Johnny Isakson (Ga.), Mike Lee (Utah), Rand Paul (Ky.), Jim Risch (Idaho), and Marco Rubio (Fla.).
