“It’s great to see a quilt company from Hamilton, Missouri nationally recognized for their example in overcoming hardship and building their small business from the ground up – continuing the entrepreneurial tradition in the same hometown as iconic American businessman, J.C. Penney,” Blunt said. “I visited Sarah and Alan last year and I was honored to see firsthand the results of their hard work and determination resonating throughout this town, attracting thousands of visitors and putting Missourians back to work.
“Small businesses are the backbone of our economy,” Blunt continued, “and we should be doing everything we can to encourage and support people like Sarah and Alan who take risks and create jobs and opportunity. I congratulate Sarah and Alan on this very important recognition.”
