Senator Blunt Joins Colleagues To Call On President Obama To Permanently Delay ObamaCare For All Americans

July 10, 2013

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Roy Blunt (Mo.), Vice Chairman of the Senate Republican Conference, joined U.S. Senator John Thune (S.D.), Chairman of the Senate Republican Conference, and the rest of his Senate Republican colleagues today in sending a letter to President Barack Obama urging him to permanently delay the implementation of ObamaCare for all Americans.

Last week, the Obama administration announced that it will delay implementation of a key ObamaCare component, the employer mandate, until 2015.

In their letter, the GOP senators wrote to the president, “[W]hile your action finally acknowledges some of the many burdens this law will place on job creators, we believe the rest of this law should be permanently delayed for everyone in order to avoid significant economic harm to American families.”

Blunt spoke on the Senate floor yesterday regarding the president's flawed health care law. Click here to watch his remarks.
