The St. Louis Cultural Leadership program teaches high school students from St. Louis, Mo. to recognize and resolve critical issues facing society through the lens of the African American and Jewish experience. Before serving in Congress, Blunt was a high school and college history teacher, and he served for four years as the president of his alma mater, Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Mo.

“I enjoyed meeting with the bright young students of the St. Louis Cultural Leadership program, and I have no doubt that they will become the future leaders as they apply the knowledge and skills they’ve gained through this program,” said Blunt.
