WASHINGTON D.C. - U.S. Senator Roy Blunt (Mo.) released the following statement regarding the news today that the U.S. Supreme Court will hear arguments in 2012 surrounding President Obama’s health spending bill:
“I’m pleased that the Supreme Court has agreed to hear arguments over ObamaCare, which the majority of Missourians and Americans have soundly rejected. I continue to believe that we need to repeal and replace this costly and burdensome law with common sense solutions that will not punish families, seniors, and job creators in Missouri and nationwide. Twenty-six states have challenged this law and a number of federal judges have already deemed the individual mandate unconstitutional. I hope the Supreme Court will come to the same conclusion next year.”
