Blunt Questions Education Secretary About New Career Pathways Initiative

March 06, 2020

WASHINGTON – Yesterday, U.S. Senator Roy Blunt (Mo.), Chairman of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies (Labor/HHS), asked Department of Education Secretary Betsy DeVos for an update on the rollout of the Career Pathways Initiative. The goal of the new initiative is to ensure that students in high school have the ability to pursue a full-range of post-secondary options to help them identify and follow a career path.

In the FY2020 Labor/HHS appropriations bill, Blunt worked to include $10 million at the Department of Education and $10 million at the Department of Labor to establish the Career Pathways Initiative.
