Blunt Urges Interior Secretary to Prioritize Flood Control on Missouri River

WASHINGTON – At a Senate Interior Appropriations Subcommittee hearing today, U.S. Senator Roy Blunt (Mo.) urged Interior Secretary David Bernhardt to prioritize flood control, and the protection of people and property, on the Missouri River. Blunt voiced his concerns over actions by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service that have increased flood risk without sufficient evidence that they are benefitting wildlife conservation efforts.
