WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Senator Roy Blunt (Mo.), a member of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation, questioned top Federal Communications Commission (FCC) officials regarding efforts to expand rural broadband. During the hearing, Blunt noted that Missouri is home to three percent of the rural American population, and roughly 50 percent of rural Missourians lack access to high-speed broadband internet.
The panel included FCC Chairman Ajit Pai and FCC Commissioners Michael O’Rielly, Brendan Carr, and Jessica Rosenworcel.
