WASHINGTON – Yesterday, U.S. Senator Roy Blunt (Mo.), chairman of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies, questioned Labor Secretary Alexander Acosta regarding the department’s progress on implementing the HIRE Vets Act. The HIRE Vets Act, which Blunt introduced in February and was signed into law last month, recognizes qualified employers for meeting certain criteria designed to encourage veteran-friendly businesses.
