VIDEO: Blunt Recognizes Mental Health Month

May 12, 2017

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Roy Blunt (Mo.) spoke on the Senate floor to recognize May as Mental Health Month and provide updates on his work to bring behavioral health treatment in line with the way all other health is treated. The demonstration program will help expand access to community mental health services and strengthen the quality of care for those living with mental and behavioral health issues. Recently, Blunt reintroduced the Ensuring Children's Access to Specialty Care Act, making it more affordable for health care providers to pursue a pediatric subspecialty and, in turn, expand children’s access to both behavioral and physical health care.
