WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Roy Blunt (Mo.), chairman of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies, today delivered opening remarks during a hearing on the value of STEM education. Blunt underscored STEM education’s critical role in preparing students for good-paying jobs in 21st century career fields, such as biomedical research and cybersecurity.
