WASHINGTON – During the Senate Republican Leadership Stakeout today, U.S. Senator Roy Blunt (Mo.) discussed the growing opioid epidemic and expressed his support for the Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act, which the Senate is considering this week. Blunt, who is the Chairman of the Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies Appropriations Subcommittee, fought to increase efforts to combat opioid abuse in the FY 2016 omnibus appropriations bill, which passed and was signed into law last year.
