VIDEO: Senator Blunt: This Rule Gives the EPA Jurisdiction Over 99.7 Percent of Missouri

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Senator Roy Blunt (Mo.) spoke on the Senate floor today to continue his fight against the Environmental Protection Agency’s Waters of the United States rule, a sweeping re-write of the Clean Water Act that would expand the EPA’s authority over nearly all of Missouri, leading to a drastic increase in permitting costs and stifling economic growth. Later in the day, the Senate voted 53-44 on a resolution Blunt co-sponsored that would overturn the new WOTUS rule and protect Missouri’s farmers, ranchers, small business owners, and families.
