WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Roy Blunt (Mo.) issued the
following statement today after voting to pass H.R. 4, the 1099 repeal bill,
which would repeal the onerous mandate in President Barack Obama’s onerous
health spending bill:
“By passing this amendment, we have taken the first major step toward
dismantling ObamaCare. If left intact, this burdensome mandate would impose
onerous and costly reporting requirements on an estimated 40 million job
creators nationwide, stifling much-needed economic development in Missouri and
across America. I remain committed to repealing and replacing President Obama’s
costly health spending bill, and today’s vote marks a major step in the right
direction.”
